Roundup Verdicts and Settlements

Although studies dating back to the 1980s raised concerns about Roundup weed killer’s ingredients, nothing was done until 2021. Bayer will remove glyphosate from residential Roundup beginning in 2023, but we are still left with a formula that many researchers say is harmful.

The courts are listening. At its core, Roundup’s formula is dangerous, and it is fueling current lawsuits. Although Bayer paid $10 million to settle thousands of claims, victims continue to come forward and significant settlements are being awarded to them.

Roundup Linked to Increased Lymphoma Risk

Prolonged exposure to Roundup is associated with a 41 to 70% increased risk for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This disease develops when your body creates too many abnormal white blood cells, damaging the immune system and making it difficult to fight germs. Tumors may form as white blood cells multiply rapidly. Non-Hodgkin’s symptoms can include:

  • Swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpit or groin
  • Chest or abdomen pain
  • Coughing or trouble breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Fever
  • Night sweats

Roundup Cancer Research

A 2015 report by the World Health Organization revealed that Roundup’s main ingredient, glyphosate, could be carcinogenic to humans. Naturally, this was a major cause for concern, as Roundup is one of the most popular weed killers on the market.

The EPA and FDA began their own research, eventually concluding that glyphosate is not harmful to humans. However, further research is being done to reach a final conclusion. The WHO, notably, has upheld its initial report.

No matter what becomes of the glyphosate debate, Roundup litigation is actually more focused on the weed killer’s entire formula. Reports have surfaced indicating Monsanto, the original manufacturer of Roundup, was alerted that their product was very easily absorbed through the skin. Monsanto, and later Bayer, did nothing to warn consumers of this risk.

Together, We’ll Make Sure They Are Held Accountable

Roundup manufacturers could be responsible for the pain and suffering of thousands. We aren’t letting them off the hook. If you believe Roundup could be the cause of your (or your loved one's) lymphoma diagnosis, we want to hear from you.
